George Clooney wedding privacy law

Ahead of the Hollywood actor’s anticipated wedding with fiancé Amal Alamuddin, the American actor requested new protections laws to the local Italian government.

The new laws prevent curious fans or the prying eyes of paparazzis from stopping near Clooney’s exclusive property in Laglio, the proposals would also make planning the wedding a lot easier.

It is scheduled to be effective until 30 September, and anyone found swimming, sailing or parked within 100 metres from the actor’s villa will be liable to a €500 fine.

The 53-year-old Clooney is set to marry his fiancé, a human rights attorney based in London in the next few months.

Roberto Pozzi, Mayor of Laglio said: “We have not received any formal requests yet but we are ready for any requests. It is now completely forbidden to stop outside the entrance to Clooney’s villa. It’s a question of traffic and security. It is very dangerous and it’s also an issue of privacy.”

The actor is already making the most of the new law, who invited his future mother in law to stay overnight at their luxury villa next to Lake Como.
