Lily Allen struts her stuff in Mallorca

By Vicki McLeod

Lily Allen, was welcomed onstage by a rapturous crowd of fans who didn’t stop dancing for the full hour plus that she was performing. She’s one of Britain’s most provocative pop stars but she certainly didn’t ruffle my feathers this Tuesday night at Mallorca Rocks. One of Lily’s most charming attributes is her ability to sing with the voice of a little girl but deliver song lines which pack a punch and make a point and her most recent hits from her new album Sheezus are some of her hardest hitting ones. I particularly enjoyed her rendition of one of her singles from “It’s not me, it’s you” dedicated to bosses everywhere, if you were there then you’ll know why I can’t write the title of the song in these hallowed pages.  Although Lily was joined onstage by a full band and dancers it was the more intimate moments with the crowd that I enjoyed the most. Missed it? You missed out on a great night under the stars in Magalluf.  Next up, Example and DJ Wire on Thursday June 26 and then Tinie Tempah with his high octane, high energy, explosive live set on Tuesday 1st July.
