ITV’s hit comedy show is set to return for the seventh season. Currently shooting on location, the new series have signed Coronation Street’s Ken Morley and former Brookside star Philip Olivier for guest roles, with Matthew Kelly returning as Cyril Babcock.
ITV’s press release has also confirmed that Johnny Vegas will be returning as The Oracle, last seen in Benidorm’s third series.
“Many of your favourite holidaymakers will be appearing throughout the new series, with the ever-resourceful Solana staff including Joyce Temple Savage (Sherrie Hewson), Les/Lesley (Tim Healy) and Mateo (Jake Canuso) back to ensure everyone’s holiday goes to plan.”
The ITV commissioner Elaine Bedell added: “After another successful run on screen we’re thrilled that a new series is about to start shooting on location in Spain.”
The show’s creator Darren Litten also confirmed in a tweet that the popular Garvey family will be leaving the show in the seventh season
The new series is expected to be broadcast in January next year.
