Mayor of San Miguel de Salinas Angel Saez says the accusations are false.
The mayor of San Miguel de Salinas, Angel Saez (PP), has defended local policing saying the force are not lacking the means and materials. It comes after the trade association of local police and firemen, SPPLB; denounced the Town Hall for lack of provisions.
The Mayor said the statements were “completely false” adding: “There is no evidence in this city of the request for shoes or any other formal request for clothing or uniforms, by the agents.”
He said the budget for ammunition and uniforms amongst other things, was not €3,000 as claimed, but €27,900.
