Almuñecar's gastronomic fair

In early June Almuñecar will celebrate its seventeenth gastronomic fair at the same time as the second Gastronomic Bloggers Meeting.

On June six, seven and eight the Parque Majuela will host the fair which has been organised by the Almuñecar Municipal Tourism Board.

Jose Manuel Fernandez, councillor for tourism, comments that this fair has become a gastronomic point of reference in the area and is a meeting point for all the hostelry professionals as it offers a rich and varied sampling of the local gastronomic delights.

This year the fair coincides with the Gastronomic Bloggers Meeting in which a group of food writers gather to sample local products and enjoy the area’s offerings.

This year the organisers are hoping to be host to more than 30 participants and have commented that there will be anything from roast sardines to mango pies on offer.
