Gourmet market plans for San Pedro

The Mayor of Marbella, Angeles Muñoz, announced plans to put the contract to run a gourmet market in San Pedro Alcantara out for public tender next month.

The gourmet market would be in the boulevard which is being built on the San Pedro underpass.

She said that work on the park planned for the area should be completed by September and that the market is going to require an investment of between €2 million and €3 million and should start before the end of the year.

The 55,000m2 boulevard will have a variety of services and attractions, the management of which is being put out for public tender by the city hall.

They include bars, cafeterias, ice-skating rink, children’s park and other games areas, as well as cycle lanes, an amphitheatre and water features.
