Drugs found in Gran Alacant bar

A pub owner in Gran Alacant has been arrested after drugs were found on the premises.

Santa Pola police were carrying out inspections of venues when they found 15 doses of cocaine and €400 concealed in the clothing of the bar owner.

A search of his home the following day revealed a further 35 grammes of cocaine as well as instruments used for the preparation and distribution of the drug.

Police also found a cash sum of €825.

A 59 year-old man and a 49 year-old woman were arrested.
