New speed camera in Marbella

Marbella Town Hall has installed a new permanent speed camera on the N-340 near Coral Beach.

The spot near the Oasis Club urbanization, opposite the shopping centre, was chosen as there have been a number of accidents there caused by excessive speed.

The camera will monitor those driving in the 80km restricted zone from Puerto Banus to Marbella.

The camera, which was put up late last year, is not currently operational as authorities need to cut some branches from a nearby palm tree that is hindering the view.
