Chloe Campbell now back home

THE THREE-year-old girl dubbed ‘Australia’s Maddie’ may have been abducted to scare her father, revealed police.

Chloe Campbell, from Childers, Queensland, is now back home safe and sound after being found close to her home on Saturday (Australian time).

She had disappeared from her bedroom 42 hours earlier with police launching a massive hunt for her fearing she had been abducted.

Her father Garth and mother Tammy could not hide their elation when she was found. After an overnight stay in a city of Bundaberg hospital as a precaution she was back home with her mum and dad.

According to reports she may have been abducted to scare her father who had recently received serious threats. Family friend Melissa Small told the local Sunday Mail: “They’ve done this to scare Garth. Garth has been very scared and this is why he is a mess.”

But Mr Campbell denied the claims. “I’ve got no enemies, there have been no threats made against me, nothing.”

Although Chloe has been found the hunt for the abductors continues Police have released CCTV footage of two adults walking with a child in a local car park at 6.20 am on Thursday -the day she disappeared.
