Alicante pensioner stabs wife

An 85 year-old man is accused of stabbing his wife in the neck at their home in Alicante.

His 80 year-old wife was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital San Joan de Alicante and is said to be progressing well.

The incident happened before 11am on Sunday morning when the man allegedly struck a knife in to his wife’s throat at the home in Calle Bernardo López García de Alicante.

The man remains in police custody.
