Two people in Florida, USA, have died in a plane crash while filming scenes for a low-budget zombie film.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what caused the single engine aircraft to crash in Summerfield near Ocala, northern Florida, on Sunday evening.
Witnesses reported that the plane’s engine stalled, causing it to go down nose first.
Local media has named the two victims as Dennis W. Monroe, 65, of Summerfield, and passenger Joseph Lewis Sardinas, 70.
The sheriff’s office said in a statement: “Reports indicate that a group of people were in this area of Marion County to film a low-budget zombie movie that included a scene where the airplane would be used.”
The investigation will be led by the Federal Aviation Administration.
