A man facing 10 years in prison for allegedly stabbing two men in a fight in Fuengirola in 2004 claims that he is innocent.

The day after the fight, the accused gave the name of another man who he claimed committed the crime and even took the police to the knife.

He claims that he only attempted to break up the fight but that the victims have mistaken him for the attacker, who allegedly fled the country.

No-one has questioned this unknown second man, who is believed to have cut himself with the knife, and DNA tests have proved the blood does not belong to the accused.
