Wishing Fiona all the best…

The Euro Weekly News team got together to say a fond farewell to one of its most popular members of staff.

After seven years of exemplary service she has decided now is the time to retire, despite the best efforts of EWN Managing Director Michel Euesden to persuade her otherwise.

So to wish her all the best Michel threw a party at Howies restaurant in La Cala de Mijas and invited the EWN team to come and wish Fiona all the best.

There they sat down to a meal to toast Fiona, wish her a happy retirement and give their heartfelt thanks for all her hard work for the EWN over the years.

Fiona has become well known in the Mojacar area not just as the face of the EWN, but also as a very important part of the community.

Michel said: “Some people come into your life fleetingly, others stay and make a huge impression.

“Fiona falls into that category. She arrived at the EWN seven years ago, and since then had been the bedrock of the company in Mojacar and Almeria. As the company grows to whatever heights it will achieve, it will all be because of Fiona and people like her.

She is to her core a EuroWeeklyite! She has been part of the foundation of our success.
