King’s Cup: R.Madrid 2 – Osasuna 0

Real Madrid played another winning game in the King’s Cup last 16 first leg yesterday at the Bernabeu Stadium.

In a second minute attack, Luka Modrik curled a shot just wide of the goal, unsettling the opposition.

Karim Benzema scored the first goal in minute 19, putting in a free kick from Luka Modric.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to get the ball in the goal, shooting wide a few times in the match; but he set up Jese Rodriguez for Real Madrid’s second goal in the 59^th minute.

If Real Madrid goes through after the second leg, they will meet Espanyol or Alcorcon in the quarter finals. Although Alcorcorn are a second division side, they surprised Real in 2009 by knocking them out at the last 32 stage. On Wednesday, Alcorcon beat Espanyol.
