Saving cash on Christmas lights

ESTEPONA council has claimed to have saved €128,000 on its Christmas lights. The town hall has announced that the lights, which will feature new LED ‘curtains’ and 200 arc lamps, will be bigger and brighter than ever before, without a cent coming from the municipal coffers, said the council.

They will be paid for by the private maintenance service company that will cover all the costs thanks to an agreement the city hall established when hiring their services. Those services cost the council €5.1 million a year plus IVA.
