Malaga CF coach, Bernd Schuster, held a press conference ahead of Tuesday’s match against RCD Espanyol: “This game is the best way of putting the Celta defeat behind us and focus on returning to winning ways. We are determined to change the recent run of results and perform to the best of our capability. Tomorrow will give us a good chance to turn things around,” affirms the Blue and Whites’ coach.
Bernd Schuster talked about the disappointing defeat by Celta de Vigo: “A 0-5 result is not surprising. The team was convinced they could perform under par and still win. We need to give every match 100% or more. Winning appears to be a very difficult thing for us to do. We lacked intensity and the right attitude in the last match, and I’m as angry as the players are. Losing three games in a row hasn’t happened often for me, but it’s the way in which we lost that annoys me the most. We didn’t give it our all. It certainly wasn’t our day.”
The ‘Malaguista’ coach adds: “I still haven’t seen some of the players I want to see perform. We’ve got everyone available in the squad, except Flavio. If some of the players don’t make the most of their opportunity, then I’ll give the others a chance. It’s crucial we change our intensity of game play and our attitude on the pitch.”
