WHITE RIBBON DAY, working for the elimination of violence against women, is being marked on Sunday, November 24, at the Parador in Javea.
The Women in Business Club Spain, which has a mantra of Stop Domestic Violence, will be marking the event by holding its annual White Ribbon Day extravaganza with health and beauty treatments from €5 and a fashion show, arts and crafts and a range of stalls. Santa’s Grotto will also be there for the little ones, making it a family event.
A tombola and raffle will raise fund to aid victims of domestic violence in the four shelters around the Marina Alta area. The top prize in the raffle this year is a guitar made by a local craftsman from Guitarras Francisco Bros of Jesus Pobre who has made guitars for Tom Hanks, Amy Winehouse and many other stars of stage and screen.
