FIESTA-BOUND: Alfaz del Pi celebrates International Day
ALFAZ DEL PI recently celebrated International Day.
It was the sixth edition and attended by many more than the 2,000 people originally expected.
Consuls from Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg and Uruguay were, together with Alfaz’s mayor Vicente Soler, Other Nationalities councillor Genoveva Tent and AMICS del Ayuntamiento councillor Jose Luis Giner.
Residents from almost 100 countries figure on the Alfaz’s municipal register, where they now outnumber the Spanish.
This was more than apparent on International Day, as the multicultural population enjoyed visited the stalls set up by the international collectives participating in the event. There was live music, food, drink – and a great deal of international enjoyment.
