Spanish children blame politics

SPANISH children no longer want to go into politics.

According to a survey carried out by the Adecco foundation with children aged between four and 16, politician is amongst the least favourite professions with only 4.4 per cent of children choosing it.

The preferred professions are footballer for boys (26.7 per cent), and teacher for girls (23.1 per cent).

More than 36 per cent of children want to have a profession in sports, and 13 per cent in science. As well as footballers, boys want to be policemen, engineers and doctors, while girls also want to be vets, doctors and hairdressers.

More than 17 per cent of children believe politicians are to blame for the financial crisis and suggest lowering their wages, not paying for their meals and doing away with official vehicles.

More than 51 per cent think the financial crisis will still last for years and almost 28 per cent would consider working abroad.
