For those waiting at the airport and do not fancy the big meals that they have to offer, two of the Spanish gateways now allow the snacks with the local flavours that can be enjoyed before leaving.
Cafe & Tapas branches are now serving a variety of tapas and pinchos near check-in at Malaga and Tenerife Sur as well as coffees. Choices include ‘tortilla’, ‘patatas bravas’, Iberian ham, ‘croquetas’ and a meatball classic in tomato sauce.
In Spain, Cafe & Tapas have 169 establishments and is considered to be Spain’s leading tapas brand. They are known as well for their range of coffees it is reported and the outlet in Tenerife which is 260 square metres, can seat 120 customers and is situated between the main check-in counters. Malaga’s establishment is landside and close to the check-in desks.
It is said that the Cafe & Tapas outlets give the airports a “new dimension” to the airports food and beverage facilities and stand out as not everyone travelling wants to fill up on a big meal but is not always on the move and maybe does want traditional Spanish food before they leave.
