Fake cigarettes which have said to be worth more than €2.2 million have been seized by Spanish police the Interior Ministry have reported.
The seizure of 465,000 packs of fake cigarettes led to ten arrests in Valencia. It was believed to be counterfeit Marlboro which was destined for France as it was alleged the writing on the packaging was in French continued the ministry’s statement.
The arrests included two Spaniards and eight Polish nationals. The cigarettes arrived in Valencia last month supposedly from the Chiwan port just north of Hong Kong.
