27 year-old Sevilla forward Alvaro Negrado has signed to join Manchester City for the sum of €47.3 million.
With the Spanish team last season, he finished fourth in La Liga and scored 25 goals for the team.
City has been in need of attackers since the departures of Tevez and Balotelli after they came second at the end of their last season. Now with Pellegrini in charge and with his experience of La Liga it is no wonder he has picked on Negrado.
He has racked up 70 goals in four seasons with Sevilla.
“For four years I have been very happy, but I think my time was here over. I am happy to go to a big team,” Negredo told Sevilla’s website.
Negredo has been capped 14 times by Spain, scoring six goals. He is the third arrival at the Etihad Stadium along with Sevilla teammate Jesus Navas and Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.
