Fabregas possibly back to England

Fabregas looking to the future

The transfer season is in full flow now as all clubs have until August to decide who they want and Manchester United are taking full advantage by pinning their hopes at the moment on Cesc Fabregas.

They have reportedly put a bid in for €28.9m for Barcelona’s ex-Arsenal midfielder. However, in a twist, Arsenal have first refusal to the player. Unfortunately for United, even though Barcelona is considering the offer, the price is below what the Spanish club value the player. Fabregas may not be pushing for a move but he is looking to move back to England and as history shows has been a thorn in United’s side.

The Spain international spent eight years with Arsenal playing in 303 games and tallying 57 goals before signing a five-year deal with Barcelona in August 2011 for €29.3m. He has helped the Catalan side win the Copa del Rey in 2011-12 and La Liga in 2012-13 playing 96 times in two seasons including 60 league games. Unfortunately, he has had to take a back seat to players like Andres Iniesta and Xavi who also play the same midfield role.

Fabregas has made 83 appearances for Spain and was in the winning 2010 World Cup side and European Championship 2008 and 2012 team.
