Pedrosa’s motoring misfortune at Sachsenring

Dani Pedrosa

Dani Pedrosa sat out of qualifying at Sachsenring, with a minor fracture to his collarbone, allowing fellow Spanish racer, Marc Marquez, to take the lead and secure pole position.

Pedrosa was cleared for practice but was said to experience low blood pressure and as a result will miss Sunday´s Grand Prix. He will undergo further tests upon his return to Barcelona on Monday.

Also sitting Sunday’s race out is World Champion, Jorge Lorenzo. Having flipped his bike during second practice and breaking the fall with his left shoulder, Lorenzo underwent surgery for a broken collarbone and was fitted with several screws and a metal plate.

Lorenzo will also miss the US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in California next weekend and will return to Barcelona for more surgery.
