FIREFIGHTERS, Civil Protection, Local Police and other Security Services took part in a mock evacuation of Infant Schools in Almuñecar.
The emergency services worked together to co-ordinate the evacuation of thirty pupils and their teachers which was carried out quickly and efficiently. The childrens’ mothers were already aware of the planned actions at the schools in La Herradura but it did surprise some of the neighbours.
The councilor for security and delegate of the Security Services, Juan Jose Ruiz Joya, was also present and he evaluated the work as very positive because it is the best way to have all the systems ready to attend this type of incident he said. The participating groups then moved on to carry out other similar evacuation in Los Marinos and Torrecuevas. They will also be practicing the evacuation drill in the infant centres of La Carrera and Al Andalus in the Barrio San Miguel.
