David Villa to go to Atletico
Atletico Madrid football club have signed David Villa on a three-year deal from FC Barcelona for €5.1 million.
Barcelona have added a clause in the deal in which they will be the recipients of 50 per cent of any future transfer fee should Villa be offloaded during the next three seasons.
Villa joined Barcelona from Valencia in the summer of 2010 and leaves the club after making 119 appearances in official competition, scoring 48 goals: 33 in the league, eight in the Champions League, six in the Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Supercup.
The striker will get his first chance to face his former team mates when Atletico and Barcelona contest the Spanish Supercup final over two legs on 21 and 22 August.
