A FUN day at the beach was the order of the day when almost 300 youngsters with disabilities enjoyed a great day out at La Rabiosa beach, San Juan de los Terreros (Pulpi).
The trip, which was organised by the Department of Equality of the Provincial Government with the collaboration of Pulpi town hall, allowed people from several centres in the province to enjoy a day out and mix with other beach users.
After a morning full of activities, including Kayaking and dancing on the sand, it was time to eat.
The participants enjoyed snacks while a giant Paella was being cooked alongside the beach.The day trippers were served with great enthusiasm and dedication by the pupils from the Tourism Workshop that is based in Pulpi.
The Mayor of Pulpi,Juan Pedro Garcia expressed his satisfaction for “a great day enjoyed by the 280 youngsters and also for us,who have enjoyed a wonderful day of fun,games and bathing that has left us all with a smile on our faces and a twinkle of joy in the eyes of all the people involved.
“The little we have offered has meant a lot and thank you for your visit and we hope to see you again.”
Volunteers from the Red Cross of Aguilas with lifeguard and basic support experience alongside members of the Civil Protection of Pulpi guaranteed the safety of the participants at all times.
