Cleaning up the port for summer in Benidorm

A TOTAL of 800 kilograms of waste, mainly plastic was removed from the port and the Nautical Club in Benidorm.

Divers from two local clubs, Nisos and Diving Stones, the diving team from the marine unit of the Local Police and staff from Club Nautico took part in cleaning the seabed from 10am until 1pm approximately. The cleaning usually takes place before the start of the season to keep the port clear of the rubbish brought in by the sea current. At the end of the morning’s work, the diver’s were given a well-earned aperitif provided by the Club Nautico.
