Twenty-one different countries showcased their traditional music, dance and handicrafts at the 25th Mijas International Festival. The event aimed to pay tribute to people who have left their countries to come to live in the south of Spain according to the councilor for Foreign Residents, Mario Bravo.
The festival kicked off with a Latin American party, and on Saturday, a commemorative plaque was unveiled on the Nations Wall before the participating countries performed a flag dance. The end of festival party included a giant cake to celebrate the 25th festival which was handed out to the public.
