Can you help Johnny?

FRIENDS of popular entertainer Johny Westwood have sent out an appeal for a laptop computer as he continues his fight against cancer.

Nick Holland-Morgan, who is helping raise funds and organise a gala benefit event for Johnny at the hotel Tamisa Golf, said:  “He is still in hospital in Malaga and we’re just trying to get him a laptop with internet dongle we can loan him, as the poor man must be climbing the walls with no access to the outside world.

Meanwhile on Sunday, June 2 from 8pm “The Live Country Music Johnny Westwood Fundraiser Night” is going to be held at Silk To Eat & Meet in Los Colinas, El Faro, Mijas Costa, including live performances by Gordon Williams, Carol Courtney and also DUO by “Telegraph” direct from Nashville USA.

The gala, planned for June 6 will feature the show, ‘West End Musicals in Concert’.

Currently it is selling out at other venues the length of the Costa del Sol and stars international musical theatre tenor Stephen Lloyd-Morgan along with the three amazing voices of Adele Lee Peters, Paul Anthony and Gemma Lloyd.

This very special evening will be hosted by Nigel Goldman.

The first half of this new two hour unique show touring the region features showstoppers from the very best of West End Musical Theatre, including songs from Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Evita, Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Wicked, Joseph, Cats, Oliver and Chicago. The second half is entirely dedicated to the multi-award winning show Les Misérables.

€10 per entry will be donated to the Johnny Westwood Appeal as well as all proceeds from the raffle and auction.
