THE latest in the Portal Nous Extravaganza parties has been hailed a great success by organisers. It was planned so shop owners could showcase the diversity on offer in Portals Nous at a fun event.
“It started off as a small idea and grew and grew,” said Kay Hally one of the original organisers. On arrival people were treated to live music being performed by Michelle Noton.
People ignored the chilly weather to get a warm welcome at the party. Featuring many items from ornate jewellery to vintage clothing and designer goods to fine books, there were also snacks of all types for people to nibble on as they browsed.
In the Universal Bookshop champagne was kindly supplied by authors Rhet Fotheringham and Gilly Oliver who were there signing their new book WOLFKNIGHT 2 .
From Calvia council Kate Menting was present and many other authors who were signing books. As the afternoon moved in to evening people kept coming and the event was classed as a success and fun by the organisers.
This could become a more frequent event. As people were leaving some were saying that they can not wait until the next Portals Nous Extravaganza.
