LOCAL POLICE arrested a youth who tried to sell a stolen mobile phone. The telephone was stolen from the post office, Correos, in Rincon de la Victoria in March and the owner, who works for the European Parliament reported the theft to the police.
The police officers asked for a copy of the CCTV from the day of the theft, and were able to recognise the alleged thief as a 26-year-old from Rincon.
When he was detained he gave the telephone to the police and they discovered that he had tried to delete the information it contained with the intention of selling it as a second hand telephone.
The mobile phone, the photos from the post office and the detainee have all been put at the disposition of the court.
