Injured climber airlifted out
A MOUNTAIN climber, 44, who fell 15 metres while climbing in the Sierra Nevada, Granada, was rescued alive by Guardia Civil.
He was found lying in the snow accompanied by two people who were keeping him warm and sheltered.
The Guardia Civil Mountain Rescue Service accessed the area by helicopter and performed First Aid, before taking him to the Borreguiles ski station heliport, where paramedics were waiting to take him to GranadaTraumatologyHospital due to the severity of his wounds.
