Money seized by the Guardia Civil
GUARDIA CIVIL seized €400,000 from a Chinese man who intended to board a plane to Viena from El Altet Airport.
He was carrying the money wrapped in tin foil and inside two tins. There was €393,000 in his case and €4,000 in his hand luggage.
The money was handed over to the Bank of Spain and proceedings have started against him for violating EU rules regarding movement of money.
