Tragic deaths in Campillos, Malaga

Police are investigating the two deaths

THE bodies of a man, 32, and his daughter, six, were found in his home in Campillos, Malaga.

The man’s brother-in-law found the bodies and alerted the Local Police, who came to the house in Las Flores area, with the Guardia Civil.

He had reportedly hung himself from the stairs and the girl’s body was found a bed, with foam at her mouth.

The brother-in-law had come to the house to take the girl to begin her journey home to Mataro, Barcelona, where she lived with her mother, who had recently separated from her father. The deceased lived with his father, who was out at work, and the girl had been spending the Easter holidays with them.

The mayor of Campillos said that the couple had not been known to have any problems, and that he believed the man incapable of hurting his daughter.

The bodies were taken to Malaga Legal Medicine Institute to be autopsies while the Guardia Civil investigates the death.

Two days of official mourning have been declared in the town.
