Found safe and sound
Found unharmed within 72 hours of her disappearance.
When Josephine Lennard, 75, went missing from her home in Moraira March 12, the Guardia Civil quickly put a search into action.
Assisted by the Local Police, volunteers and neighbours, the area where she was last seen was thoroughly searched. Police helicopters, search teams, the nature protection service of the Guardia Civil (SEPRONA), and dogs specially trained to find missing people were all deployed in the search.
All the possible places where she might have gone were checked and she was eventually found after 72 hours in the basement of an abandoned house where she had gone to take shelter.
When she was found, Josephine was found to have no injuries, and was in good physical condition but a little weak. She was attended at the scene by medics.
