Arboleas town hall
A NUMBER of homes in Arboleas are connecting to the internet for €5 a month.
Thanks to the local town council some residents can receive the ADSL wi-fi signal for a fraction of the normal cost. The town council launched the service in February following a series of negotiations with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and hundreds are ready to sign up.
The local mayor, Christopher Garcia (PA), believes the experience has been “very positive” and said that “people are delighted with the new Internet system.” He confirmed that “we are working to extend the service to cover 100 per cent of the municipality.”
