Trinidad Herrera inspected the Castillo de San Miguel
THE Castle of San Miguel is one of the most important monuments in Almuñecar.
Now it has more attractions for tourists with 14 information points in the form of milestones that guide the visitor through the monument.
Mayor of Almuñecar, Trinidad Herrera, visited Castillo de San Miguel accompanied by Francisco Prado and Maria del Carmen Ruiz, socialist councillors and Rafael Lamelas, president of the Hoteliers Association.
Renovated areas of the Castle will illustrate the evolution of the castle and the different civilisations that have passed through Almuñecar. Certain places are of special interest such as the Nasrid house and baths.
Restoration work is continuing on the interior of the historical site.
