Swedish furniture giant Ikea says it will withdraw meatballs from stores in 21 European countries.
Authorities in the Czech Republic said they had detected horse DNA in tests of 1 kilogram packs of frozen meatballs labelled as beef and pork. Kottbullar meatballs had not been distributed to consumers.
Consignments from the same batch had gone to the UK, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Ireland.
