Police investigate accident claim

A COURT in Mijas will investigate whether a man who claimed to have been hit by a car in Avenida de Andalucia, Las Lagunas is lying.

The Local Police were called to the scene by a driver, a French citizen resident in Benalmadena, who claimed he had not hit anyone. He claimed he had heard a sound and when he got out of his car, a man was on the floor claiming he had run him over. However, witnesses were not convinced this had been the case, and Las Lagunas Health Centre found nothing wrong with the man.

Police took images from a CCTV camera at a nearby business, but they are not clear enough to be used as evidence.
