Green Corridor 85km of trails planned
AN 85 kilometre network of footpaths and cycle ways is to be created in Torrevieja.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón and councillor for Town Planning and the Environment, Francisco Moreno, announced the development of the Municipal Green Corridor, a plan that connects the green areas of the city.
Upon completion of the project, which will be carried out in a number of stages, Torrevieja will boast 85km of footpaths and cycle paths.
First stage of the plan will be the creation of the Paseo de la Playa de los Náufragos, connecting with Avenida Delfina Viudes and the beaches of Acequión and Los Locos.
Also planned are more than 17km of coastal trails.
The Mayor added there will be public participation of the plan and welcomes suggestions for the Green Corridor.
