HEALTH CARE: The Poniente Hospital in El Ejido was equipped last year.
STILL no finishing date for a new maternity hospital in Almeria has been given.
The €26 million Maternity and Children’s’ Hospital should have been completed by now after works started in January 2011.
Andalucian Health Service sources said that the project is “a top priority and though the investment and path for the works may be rescheduled, it won’t be abandoned.”
The health service says it has been forced by the current economic situation to reschedule plans for new health centres in Almeria province.
It reported that the €17 million works on the Bola Azul Centre for Special Care (CARE) in Almeria are nearly finished, after being delayed since last February.
