SPAIN’S National Statistics Institute has reported that around 200,000 people lost their jobs between October and December 2012.
This takes the number of unemployed people in Spain to over six million. Unemployment in Spain’s 16 to 24 age group has hit a high of 55 per-cent and overall unemployment numbers in November 2012 hit 26.6 per-cent.
The latest figures mean Spain is now making up a third of unemployment in the Euro zone as the economic decline continues.
