LOCAL residents shamed a driver into returning to the scene of an accident after he made off on foot.
The Bolivian man had overturned his van and hit three parked cars in the accident at 6.45am on Sunday.
As he tried to leave the scene neighbours in Palma’s Calle Isidoro Antillon followed him. Feeling harassed he returned to the scene and waited for police to arrive. He was arrested after an alcohol breath test allegedly showed him to be three times the legal limit. He is also alleged to have no Spanish driving licence.
