Heart throb stars set pulses racing

EXPECTATION: Police officers and cameramen mixed with nearly a hundred fans surrounding FC Barcelona’s coach.

THERE was cheering, and screaming when FC Barcelona’s superstar players visited Malaga.

Players such as heart throbs Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi set pulses racing as they arrived at the luxury Posada del Patio Hotel’s entrance.

“Messi, you are number one!  We love you!” a supporter yelled when the recently named Best Player in the World exited the team coach to sign autographs and pose for photos.

“I can’t believe he is even more handsome in the flesh than he is on the telly,” Arantxa Herrero from Malaga said about her idol, Gerard Pique. “I thought I would go crazy when he and Fabregas smiled at us!” Elena Gracia, also from Malaga, added.

“We have come from Rincon de la Victoria just to see them,” Antonio Jesus Picazo said.  He, his wife and two children all wore FC Barcelona branded clothes.

And even local club supporters joined in the welcome.  “I am a loyal supporter of Malaga CF, but you don’t get to see the best team ever every day,” Jose Juan Romero said.

The current leaders of the league had travelled by plane for a match against local team Malaga CF last Sunday.

Fans – along with the press and television cameramen – welcomed the superstar players at the airport and at their arrival at the five star hotel.

Barcelona kept top spot in the league with a convincing 3-1 win.
