DOCTORS in Andalucia will start random strikes from next week.
But patients have been left waiting to see about potential appointment cancellations as no accurate dates have been given by the Andalucian Health Union. In Malaga province, around 4,500 doctors have got the call to join the strike.
In order not to affect hospitalised patients, a 24-hour strike will be randomly called every day in a different health centre. Doctors will repeat the strike every 45 days until June.
They are protesting against Central Government measures of increasing doctors’ weekly working hours to 37-and-a-half with no extra pay.
