VESPA ROUTE: Scooter and Vespa enthusiasts enjoyed a guided tour through Orihuela
ORIHUELA resembled more of an Italian city as more than one hundred old motorcycles and scooters took part in the Vespa Route.
Organised by the Department of Tourism, the route lasted around two hours giving riders the chance to explore the most historical areas of Orihuela. A professional guide, who travelled with the group in a side car, explained the characteristics of the church of Santas Justa y Rufina, Santiago Apóstol and the Santo Domingo church during three stops.
The event was attended by old moped owners as members of clubs from La Murada, Redován and Murcia.
This was the first Vespa Route, but the Department of Tourism is already working on new editions for 2013.
