THE Torrevieja mobile phone scandal rumbles on.
Town Hall employee Graham Knight from Torrevieja’s International Residents Office has denied downloaded anything inappropriate from his mobile phone, and has welcomed a full investigation.
This follows claims that on one weekend in November 2009, €1,120 was billed to his official phone in internet connections whilst in the UK. He is the latest employee to be embroiled in the ongoing mobile phone scandal.
Joaquin Albaladejo, from the government team, said councillors and advisers were unaware of spending, or the charges by the operator, because they never personally receive an invoice.
New practices are now in place.
