ALICANTE province suffered its wettest November since 1989.
An average 109 litres per square metre of rain inundated the province. That compares to the normal average of just 42 litres of rainfall per square meter.
And in the mountains north of the province, towns like Lorcha, Vall de Gallinera, Vall de Alcala and Vall de Ebro averaged 450 litres. Much of the rain fell during the heavy storms that lasted from November 11-14.
As for temperatures, November was near normal with a mean temperature of 11.7 degrees centigrade. However, the month began with temperatures reaching a high on Sunday, November 4, of 25 degrees in many locations along the coast.
