THREE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED euros was raised for Dayron Blanc, a young Spanish boy suffering from chronic non-progressive encephalopathy secondary to perinatal cerebral hypoxia.
The Torrevieja Costa Lions Club, along with sponsors Talleres Yogesh, TV Choice Magazine and Ayuntamiento Formentera, held a Duck Race in his honour, and the money raised will pay for one of his twice-yearly visits to a hospital in Mallorca where he undergoes hydrotherapy which helps his muscles to develop and encourages him to be more active.
The next Lions fundraiser will be held at Iceland supermarket in La Marina on December 21 and 22.
